CHOOSE YOUR CRAFT

Two Trades, One Great Team.

This is where your career in the automotive trade begins. We offer apprenticeships in two core specialities: Automotive Body Repair (Panel Beating) and Automotive Refinishing (Spray Painting). While the skills are different, the goal is the same: to turn you into a confident, qualified tradesperson with a secure future. Read on to learn more about each craft and discover your path forward with our team.

Automotive Body Repair

Panel Beater

What is a Panel Beater? A Panel Beater is a skilled technician who restores a vehicle’s body back to its original shape and safety standards after an accident. It’s a trade that combines problem-solving with hands-on skill to repair everything from minor dents to major structural damage.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

This Trade is for You If: You’re a natural problem-solver, you’re good with your hands, and you have a great eye for detail and symmetry.

Automotive Refinishing

Spray Painter

What is a Spray Painter? A Automotive Spray Painter is the artist of the workshop, responsible for creating the flawless, factory-quality finish. It’s an amazing trade that requires a steady hand, a keen eye for colour, and an absolute commitment to perfection.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

This Trade is for You If: You’re a perfectionist, you have an artistic eye, and you get satisfaction from turning a repaired panel into a flawless piece of work.

MEET THE BOSS - ANDREW WHITE

From Apprentice to Owner

Andrew White didn’t just buy a smash repair shop; he came back to where it all began. He started his career as an apprentice right here at Kings, and that hands-on experience means he understands every role in the workshop and leads with a genuine respect for the craft. This foundation shapes his entire leadership philosophy—a straightforward approach that the team calls “one of the good ones”: look after your people, give them the best tools for the job, and create an environment where they can take genuine pride in their work.

Knowing the trade inside-out, he has built a culture where everyone is treated as a valued team member, not just a number. It’s a professional workshop that runs on skill and mutual respect—not politics—where anyone can approach him with an issue, knowing they’ll be heard.
